Help new tenants feel at home from day one

As a Voids and Repairs Officer, you'll make sure our properties are ready, safe and welcoming for new tenants. Whether it's sorting out a missing gas certificate or chasing up a final repair, you'll be part of the team making sure everything's in place for a smooth start.

Working Style:

You'll be based in the Borough for 3-4 days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you're working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you'll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents' lives.

What you'll be doing:

You'll be the go-to contact for anything to do with void repairs in the first 12 weeks of a new tenancy-answering queries, coordinating works and making sure no detail gets missed. That means working closely with void surveyors, maintenance officers and sub-contractors to keep everything moving and making sure each empty property has the gas, electricity and compliance checks it needs.

You'll manage your own caseload of voids from start to finish, helping new tenants settle in and staying on top of any early repair issues. You'll be keeping the voids tracker and repairs schedule up to date, coordinating appointments and ensuring any works are completed on time.

This is a varied role where every day's a bit different. One moment you might be booking a heating inspection, the next checking Service Connect for updates or supporting the voids administrator with job orders. There's always something to get stuck into and plenty of opportunities to make a real difference to how we support our residents.

What you'll bring

You're organised, proactive and have a real knack for juggling multiple tasks at once. You've got strong admin and IT skills and you're comfortable using Microsoft Office and logging updates across different systems.

You're also someone who brings energy and enthusiasm to a team. You enjoy working with others, talking to residents and solving problems as they come up. Whether it's chasing a contractor or helping someone move in more smoothly, you're not afraid to take the lead and keep things moving.

Experience in housing or customer service is helpful, but what matters most is your attitude: you're reliable, positive and ready to get involved wherever you're needed.
