The role

We have an exciting role on offer within our Neighbourhoods team for two Neighbourhood Safety Wardens, fixed term contract to end on 31.03.2027.

Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Safety Wardens are passionate about the town, they build confidence within our community, and they are often found checking on the welfare of those residents who are isolated, making a huge difference to our community spirit, they work tirelessly with police, and other agencies to make our town a cleaner and safer place to work and live.

Being a Neighbourhood Safety Warden can be fun and extremely rewarding. If you have a passion for our town, if you can develop great relationships, use initiatives to solve problems and display confidence in challenging situations then this could be the opportunity for you!

To be successful in this role you need:

• A GSCE Grade C in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Be eligible to apply for accreditation under the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme with Cleveland Police and meet the standards of acceptance which will include passing NPPV L2 security vetting.
• Hold a full driving license.

Please note the working pattern for this role is 8am – 8pm, over a 7-day week including weekends.

The current shift pattern follows a 12-hour shift pattern working four days on and four days off across the calander year.
