Salford’s combination of sustained economic growth, strong leadership and

Over the past decade we’ve delivered over 20,000 new properties, including 3,201 new affordable homes, which means we’re well on the way to achieving our goal of 40,000 new homes within our four strategic growth locations by 2040.

Everyone in Salford deserves a decent and affordable place to call home – it’s our no. 1 priority – so we’ve developed a new streamlined and integrated housing function to deliver better housing services for our residents, reduce homelessness and rough sleeping, and accelerate our ability to build new homes. This role will see you lead the service to achieve an ambitious set of objectives. Key focus areas include delivering more new low-carbon affordable and social rented homes, including supported housing; engaging early with households at risk of homelessness; and supporting people to choose the right housing option for them.

You’ll bring an energising and expert leadership style, able to inspire our skilled and committed teams to deliver outstanding performance through change. You may not have direct experience of every aspect of the portfolio, but we will look for an impressive and consistent track record of making a lasting difference.
