About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Safe and Strong Communities team, to support the delivery of our ambitions to be a community powered organisation through oversight and project management of pilots in service areas and managing and monitoring the organisation wide delivery plan to ensure communities are influencing the decisions and services that affect them.

As part of this role, you will

  • Support existing teams to deliver on the community power agenda
  • Develop the approach to evidencing impact and benefits, including identifying good practice
  • Lead projects within the community power programme
  • Work across partnerships to enable effective working and ensure best outcomes.

We are looking for someone

  • With knowledge of community development, community power and local authority governance
  • Who is committed to improving services and supporting the ambitions of the organisation to become a community powered council
  • Who is able to create and develop effective working relationships across a range of partners and stakeholders
  • With experience of using formal project management methodology, including the ability to analyse and present information.
